Thousand Yard (YOD1K) is a label started by Hawaii-based artist and content creator (me) Hejai in 2022. I started this imprint mainly as a way to display all the music I've made under one banner. Eventually that came to include work I've made under Hejai (YouTube Videos included), In Love With The Machine, Usikan, etc.

Initially, I had ambitions to join a small label to get my own music off the ground. While I wasn't able to "sign" to a label, I hopped around different online collectives. In the end, I decided to take what I learned from the leadership in those groups and went indie.

I still hold these goals to an extent but this would be to expand Thousand Yard's influence and help with distribution. I eventually plan to expand the label to include mainly other artists from Hawaii or others I find personally interesting.

The unknown future opens itself to a miryad of possibilities.
